James Aymond, MD
Dr. James Aymond is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and specializes in the evaluation and treatment of conditions of the spine, including cervical and lumbar disc replacement, as well as spinal fusions and lumbar discectomy for sciatica. He completed medical school at Louisiana State University and did his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Aymond attended Vanderbilt University for an Adult Spine Fellowship and has over 16 years experience as a Spinal Surgeon. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and did his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Wake Forest University / NC Baptist Hospital, followed by a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Hughston Sports Medicine Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. Dr. Caldwell is the team physician for The Citadel. With Orthopaedic Specialists since 1989, he is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and is a former Major in the US Army Reserve Medical Corps, having served in Iraq during Operation Desert Shield/Storm.

He completed his medical degree at the Medical Universty of South Carolina, and his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Wake Forest University / NC Baptist Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Hand Surgery at the Thomas Jefferson Medical Center.
