Dr.
Ohlson is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. He obtained his
Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from John Carroll University.
He attended Case Western Reserve University where he was awarded his
Doctorate of Medicine. His residency training was completed in
orthopaedic surgery at The Kalamazoo Center for Medical
Studies/Michigan State University. He then went on to complete a
fellowship in foot and ankle reconstruction at Union Memorial Hospital
in Baltimore, Maryland. He holds clinical appointment as
Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery with The Medical University
of South Carolina. Dr Ohlson specializes in treating a variety
of foot and ankle disorders including sports injuries, trauma, and
reconstruction. He has a special interest in arthroscopy of the
ankle as well as joint replacement. His practice encompasses a
variety of problems including arthritis, bunions, ankle instability,
and fractures. He is also involved with the Soles 4 Souls, a
charitable organization that provides the homeless with shoes and
routine foot care. Dr Ohlson is Board Eligible by the American
Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of The American
Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Academy of
Orthopaedic Surgeons.
